This is my (part) self-titled fashion brand that focuses on the intersection of Western and Eastern aesthetics. As an American-born Chinese, I often feel disconnected and distant from my culture, and this represents my opportunity to connect with both my traditions. All YINGNA pieces are made with inspiration from traditional Han Chinese clothing, 汉服(hanfu).

Collection #1: GENESIS·初
Spring/Summer 2023
GENESIS · 初 is an exploration of my connection to Chinese culture. This collection was inspired specifically by the Tang Dynasty, an era of prosperity and gender equality. Using the same textiles for all the pieces, the pieces build off of each other and combine both Yingna's Eastern heritage and Western upbringing.
