MESH: A Fashion Collective

MESH is a UW Seattle-based fashion design student organization that is open to the general public, focused on making fashion design and fashion education accessible to a wider audience. Founded in October 2021 by Manya Jain, followed by other founders Dan Nguyen, Justin Velour, Tianna Andresen, Archie Sugiyama, and Amy Sun, MESH has become a staple in Seattle fashion culture, putting on 2 events annually: the anticipated MESH Gala, and the annual fashion show featuring debut designers and models.
As a founding member and later president, I have lead various projects within MESH, taking on larger roles of directing and organizing our annual events, as well as smaller events such as educational workshops, panels, and community outreach. Currently, I serve as the president alongside 9 other executive board members, diving into Mesh's 3rd and golden year. Under my leadership, Mesh has hosted 2 annual fashion shows and 2 Mesh Galas, with more events coming up.
